The National Unit of Pediatric Oncology has come to be the only specialized reference centre for pediatric patients suffering from cancer in Guatemala. With each passing day, more patients are admitted to the Unit making it necessary to expand the Unit’s facilities and seek additional resources in order to ensure the project’s sustainability. Below we present the supporting data for the imminent growth of pediatric cancer cases in Guatemala, as well as the major needs we now encounter. Monthly  Average Growth Indicators

Early detection of pediatric cancer - Educational programs for pediatricians throughout the country are developed and applied in conjunction with the Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare.
