Pollo Campero, Banco G &T Continental, Tigo and Grapette, thank the nation of Guatemala for their participation and solidarity with the Mega Raffle UNETE, which took place during the last quarter of 2006, and they exhort the people to continue supporting the fight to save the life of patients suffering pediatric cancer.

Guatemala, January 16, 2007. - Thanks to the solidarity and enthusiasm of thousands of Guatemalans who participated selling or buying tickets for the Mega Raffle “Join our Effort of Saving Children with Cancer -- Your Donation Is Their Hope for Life!”, we were able to raise a total of Q14,004,420 (u$s 1.818.756).

The total sum of the funds raised was given to the Foundation Ayúdame a Vivir and it represents approximately a 30% of the operative budget of the UNOP (Unidad Nacional de Oncología Pediátrica), which will allow to offer a greater and better attention to cancer patients. Estimates are that this enlargement of infrastructure will be ready in 2008.

The Foundation Ayúdame a Vivir , the children with cancer and their families, Pollo Camero, Banco G&T Continental, Tigo and Grapette reiterate their gratitude for the support and enthusiasm of their collaborators as well as that of all the Guatemalan people that, year after year, give a hope of life to the patients at UNOP.
